Bridging Biopharma Innovation with Expertise and Mentorship on a Global Scale
AbtBioConsult ApS was founded by Anne B. Tolstrup in 2018. Since then, Anne has supported more than 50 different clients globally, from North America, Europe and Asia. Her clients include large biopharma, biotech and start-up companies as well as investment banks and service providers to the biopharmaceutical industry.
Her expertise prior to founding AbtBioConsult is based on a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology followed by 15 years in Danish Biotech companies including Symphogen, and 7 years in the global biopharmaceutical companies Boehringer-Ingelheim and Biogen.
Anne has a very large international network in the Biopharma and Biotech industry, as well as with Contract Development and Manufacturers (CDMO’s) and with equipment and raw materials service providers in the field.
She follows innovations in the field closely both via literature, company visits and conference participation.
On top of her professional consultancy work, Anne strongly values to support the academic world as well as young scientists in their early/mid-stage careers.

- Member of the Board of Representatives at the Danish Technical University (DTU)
- Advisory Board member at DTU Bioengineering
- European Society for Advancement of Cell Technology (ESACT) Executive Committee Secretary
- Frequent ESACT Scientific Committee member and Session chair at ESACTs biannual conferences
- Teaching PhD level courses on Animal Cell Technology internationally (in Spain) and at DTU
- Serving as censor for PhD and Master thesis committees
- Serving as mentor for young/early career scientists and leaders
